Palliative Care

What is palliative care at home?

Alma-Ata declaration 1978 states that all people, everywhere, deserve the right care, right in their community. This is the fundamental pillar of primary health care.

What is Universal Health Coverage (UHC)?

Under Health for All initiative World Health Organization (WHO) advocates for Universal Health Coverage. “UHC means that all individuals and communities receive the health services they need without suffering financial hardship. It includes the spectrum of essential, quality health services, from health promotion to prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care.” WHO

The main aim of palliative care in the community is to improve the quality of life for patients.
