Andy has held an extensive range of managerial roles in both the public and private sectors, involving both development and implementation of strategic and operational policy. Left the corporate world in the mid 2010’s to establish his own company providing Consultancy Services.

Management skills were developed in the Armed Forces, managing personnel in both operational and training environments, and subsequently honed in both Public and Private sector service delivery environments. A strong work ethic, approachable demeanor and analytical approach to management have become the bedrock and hallmark of his management style.  His management role highlights include managing staff in an active operational environment, working with Probation and Prison Service clients as both a line manager and mentor, being part of a senior management team tasked with the opening of a new private sector prison, and managing the national Ski team (Cross country) up to but not including the 1984 Olympic Games.

His drive in becoming a Trustee with StarLight is encompassed in his desire to help make significant changes to the way in which those disadvantaged with health issues are provided the support and compassion, which is often taken for granted in many parts of the developed world. He has project management and administrative support strengths which should complement and support the StarLight medical personnel working with our targeted clients.
